Music Ministry
Sharing a love of music with the church while building friendships with fellow Christians.
Choir ~ Soloist ~ Instrumentalist; guitar, trumpet etc.
Ushers:
Assisting in worship services with behind the scenes work to maintain good order.
Counting
Once-a month meet with other volunteers after church, to help count the plate and envelope offerings.
Decorating and Flower Committee
Applying artistic and physical talents to beautify and enhance the facility.
Altar Guild
Maintaining the altar area and assisting in preparation for the Lord’s Supper.
Media Ministry
To assist in the worship services through TV and radio recording serving the community.

Fellowship Committee
Increasing healthy congregation interaction through events such as Lent/Advent meals, church picnic/new member welcoming, appreciation dinners, and fun outings.
Advent by Candlelight
Hostesses decorate a table with a Christmas theme using their own decorations and provide a dessert and coffee for their table. The laide then enjoy music, a worship service or devotions by candlelight.
Bible Class Help
Set up before Sunday am service – ie. coffee and food for Bible Class after am service.
Outreach Committee
Reaching those who have no church home with the message of peace through Jesus.
Help with events; Parade, Trunk or Treat etc.
Help with mailings
Spiritual Growth Committee
Contacting straying or absent members, actively working to bring Law and Gospel to members for their spiritual welfare.

Visit and call on those unable to attend worship services, are struggling or lonely, and give them Christian encouragement.

Devotion
Assist Oak Park residents to come together to participate in the recorded worship service from the previous Sunday.
Service
Food Pantry
Collecting non-perishable foods for the community food pantry to aid the needy.
Morning Doves
Serve the needs of school with various projects and fellowship. Special annual projects: Christmas cookie walk and Lenten theme baskets.
Administration
Office Volunteers
Assisting with routine tasks to free up the office staff for other duties.
Cradle Roll secretary (work with Little Lambs, and church secretary)
Counting

the plate and envelope offerings.
Electronics Volunteers
Maintain and update electronics, Facebook and website for the church. Work closely with church president, pastor, principal, Outreach and others to promote our ministry.

Stewardship Committee
Providing stewardship encouragement to our congregation in the use of time, abilities, and financial resources.
Technology Team
Maintain and update (as desired or required) facilities and equipment for computers, computer networks, etc.
St. John’s Historical Committee
Preserving our church history by archiving photos, special bulletins, etc.
